I 've been drawing since I was two. Winnie the Pooh.
I grew up in the foothills and central valley of Northern California in a close family that
encouraged my love of drawing. By age 15 I had turned our spare bedroom into my "Studio" with the hopes of becoming the next Norman Rockwell.
I focused on art in High school and Junior College, and was fortunate enough to be led by an amazing group of talented and passionate instructors, who still remain strong influences.
In 1983 I moved to Pasadena to attend Art Center College of Design. We were made for each other. I thrived within the structure of the school as I found my own personal voice as an illustrator. I graduated in 1987 and hit the ground running.
I love creating illustrations for clients that tell stories. I'm inspired by film. Using the same elements of character, light, costume and staging to tell a clear personal story that can be universally enjoyed.
