Penny attended classes at the School of Visual Arts in New York City but is basically self-taught. Over the years she has worked in greeting cards and as a freelance artist specializing in residential murals, portraits and caricatures.
It has been a lifelong dream of Penny’s to work in the children’s publishing industry. Recently in 2007, when her third child entered school, Penny decided to actively pursue that dream. She is currently a member of the SCBWI and LICWI, (Long Island Children’s Writers and Illustrators) and has recently completed a cover illustration for New Moon magazine.
Penny works mostly in colored pencils and water colors.
She lives with her husband and three children in Holbrook, New York.
