Jane Smith loves paper. She has boxes and boxes of it, all organized by color. Her love of paper began with her first collage illustration created while attending the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration.
Upon graduating from CCAD, Jane and her boxes of paper moved to Los Angeles, where she now works as a freelance Illustrator and Book Designer. Jane co-coordinated the SCBWI-LA Westside Illustrators Schmooze for four years and remains an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
Jane happily lives with her graphic designer husband, Chris, in sunny Hermosa Beach, California.
