Gay was a university art professor before deciding she’d rather illustrate and write for children. Two of her books were named Outstanding Science Trade Books by the CBC and the NSTA. Her work has appeared in American Illustration and Print’s Design Annual. She lives on the beautiful Oregon coast in Bandon.
