Pamela Leavens studied traditional figure drawing and oil painting at the Atlanta High Museum School and The Art Student's League in NYC but now works in gouache, pastel, and digital mediums to produce quirky, stylized illustration in vibrant color: picturebooks, illustration and design for a variety of printed formats, exhibition art--and most often with humorous intent. For nine years she was a Staff Artist with International Paper Co.
She has been a frequent exhibitor at the Museum of the Hudson Highlands (including a three-person show of children's book art) and has also exhibited at Eisenhower Hall Gallery at West Point, the Garrison Art Center, and the Mid-Hudson Arts & Science Center.
Client List includes Union Carbide, International Paper, Centurion Security, Medical Economics, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Trillium Press, Dunkin' Donuts, Vernon Valley / Great Gorge Ski Areas, Museum of the Hudson Highlands, Mixed Media, Swifty's NYC, Scott Foresman.
