Bio

I have illustrated 30 picture books, and also I wrote and illustrated Gingerbread Mouse. My publishing clients include HarperCollins, Scholastic, Random House, Simon and Schuster, Grosset and Dunlap, Soundprints/Smithsonian Institution, and Hippocratic Press. My licensing clients include Portal Publications, Schurman Design, Hands On Toys, F.X. Schmid, and Hasbro Toys. I visit schools with my books to spend time with budding artists and writers - I offer both writing programs and hands-on art programs. It is hard to leave a classroom of outspoken and imaginative first graders at the end of the day, but a new art supply or story idea is always waiting to be explored...
